Mirna Shoukry is a jewellery and object designer based in Abu Dhabi. She works on how cultural memory, architecture and material can become something you can wear now.

She trained in multidisciplinary design at OCAD University in Toronto, which is where the habits of visual research, drawing and iterative design took hold.

From 2019 to 2021 she worked as a Jewelry CAD Designer at JEWLR in Toronto, turning design concepts and customer customisation into production-ready three-dimensional models. That job taught her what a drawing has to survive before it can actually be made.

Since then her own practice has grown through concept development, CAD, gemstone studies and collection work. In the summer of 2026 she completed a Jewellery Design Intensive at Le Arti Orafe in Florence, spending the time on proportion, gemstones, how materials behave, construction and the gap between a drawing and a finished object.

Her eye comes from a few places at once: the visual memory of Egypt, design school in Canada, jewellery study in Florence and the architecture of Abu Dhabi around her now. She is not interested in reproducing historical motifs. She is interested in what sits underneath them, the rhythm and geometry and light, and in making something present out of that.
